ALL DRESSED UP

So, this bag of chips has cost exactly $1.00 for at least a month. Today I show up and they’re going for $1.49 unless you bought three or more, in which case you’d pay $1.39 a bag.

Terrific.

A small win in the fight against rising grocery costs, and it jumps by at least 39% overnight. And there were almost none left on the shelf, so either the grocery guys are overworked or the public is panic-buying all-dressed chips as a hedge on rising prices. And yes, I bought a bag, and felt lucky to have done so.

But I hope they leave my oatmeal alone.
