THEY’VE GONE AFTER MY ALMONDS

And you thought bait-and-switch was a sales tactic for homes and cars. But no, it applies to groceries too.

A case in point. I purchased these chocolate covered almonds a month ago for $5.99, which was a little rich for me but holy smokes they’re good. Then, for three days last week, they went on sale for $3.99.

They’re not on sale anymore. Today you can snag a bag for $6.99!

Sure. Get folks hooked then stick it to them. Then blame it on COVID, I guess. Supply chains, I suppose. The cost of transportation, probably. Rise in distribution costs, no doubt.

But human greed? No way!

Btw, I’m not pinging out on the franchise owners, just the Loblaws super-owners who make their billions while I stuff my shopping cart with chocolate covered almonds. They must fall out of their chairs laughing at me.
