How fortunate are we to have a hospital of the stature of Renfrew Victoria Hospital? Simply put, very.
RVH is about as modern a health care facility as you’re going to find anywhere, providing numerous services alongside its chief mandate of being a local, in fact, regional hospital. As an institution, it wears these many hats well.
The professional staff is top shelf, the supporting staff right there along with them. And there’s a robust cadre of volunteers and support groups existing in the community that lean into the overall effort to offer top-quality health care. We are, indeed, very fortunate.
Hospitals are one of those things that people look at when assessing the quality of life in a community. In short, they serve as a draw for those out-of-town looking for a community to relocate to. Hospitals are, among other important things, selling points.
It was at this hospital where I discovered my heroes, who do what they do day-in and day-out, often without the kind of recognition they deserve. And this was before COVID!
Of course, this could easily be a much longer article. But I just wanted to express my thanks to everyone who works in that building, the people who, in their way, provide the rest of us with a quality of care that makes us feel good about living in a town like Renfrew.
