NEW TENANTS FIND HOME IN RENFREW RETAIL SPACE

Renfrew’s retail landscape is nudging progressively forward as one of the town’s more prominent strip malls begins to fill in the vacancies that have plagued the location in recent years.

I just noticed today that one complete section of the Rio Can property on O’Brien Road is fully occupied, which is awesome and, to me, a sign of good things to come.

Bolstered by the arrival of two food outlets about a year ago, barBurrito and Renfrew Shawarma, the little exterior mall already included Northern Reflections and a personal aesthetics business, Renfrew Nails and Spa.  Now part of the roster for the strip are Bell Mobility and Easy Financial, which in the case of the latter represents a lateral move of sorts, as they once occupied a storefront on the part of the complex facing their new location.

Speaking of the other half, across the parking lot, the complex is anchored by Mark’s Workwear and Pet Value, and only two storefronts remain unoccupied.  But as Renfrew grows, there can be every expectation that these two places will find new tenants, helping to restore this retail area to the busy-ness it once enjoyed.

Every empty shop window in town being occupied by a new business is to the benefit of all of us.  So it was good to see this today.
