Cryolipolysis (Fat Freezing)

Cryolipolysis or fat freezing is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses cold temperature to kill fat cells in targeted areas of the body. As they die our lymphatic system removes them from our body.  The procedure is designed to target fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. 

Researchers found that Cryolipolysis reduced the treated fat layer by as much as 25%. With little to no downtime it has become increasingly popular in North America.

Cryolipolysis was developed at Harvard University. The inventors studied children eating popsicles. It was discovered these children who ate popsicles had dimples in their cheeks. R, Rox Anderson, MD and Dieter Manstein, MD realized that these popsicles were helping to eliminate the small fat cell pockets in the cheeks of the children.
